About Us
The Clinic was opened in 2024 and is located in University Square at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Weinbach Avenue in Evansville, Indiana. In addition to a staff of qualified, licensed professionals, the Clinic also serves as a training site for students enrolled in the PsyD in Clinical Psychology and Master of Physician Assistant Science programs at UE.
Our Mission
The Clinic aims to provide a short- and long-term solution to the rising need for mental health services in our community and nation. Our short-term solution is to provide a range of mental health related services from highly qualified professionals across a range of disciplines using an integrated care approach to treatment. Our long-term solution is to train the next leaders in the mental health field to increase the number of exceptional providers in our community to begin to decrease workforce shortages.
The mission of the UE Mental Health and Wellness Clinic and Emily M. Young Assessment Center is consistent with UE’s core values of:
- Integrity, by ensuring our practices always meet the highest ethical standards.
- Innovation, by continuously finding new ways to improve our training and service delivery.
- Intellectual curiosity, by supporting clinical research that advances the practice of psychology.
- Inclusive community, by helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to work effectively with clients who embody a broad spectrum of intersecting demographics, attitudes, beliefs, and values.
- Education for the whole person, by engaging in integrated care partnerships that allow for supporting the wellbeing of our clients across health disciplines.
